Introduction to generic design concepts, design vocabularies, and principles of 3-dimensional design taught in the studio environment. The design studio will develop inquiry, literacy and compositional skill in design building a foundation for research through design.
The list of projects that I still have to photograph is now posted on the doors of the design cupboards (First year studio). These will be ready for pick-up outside nan's office VS 230 from Aug 1st Any projects not picked up by the end of this 1/2 term will be disposed of. Thanks for allowing me to hang onto them.
I have a number of projects held over to photograph from dsdn 111. I will post a list of the projects I have and put it up on the notice board in the first year studio early next week . I will also send out a news feed when I have completed the photography so you can collect your work. If you want your work back before I have finished with it, let me know. But please wait for the list to be put up to confirm I have your work. Students who did not attempt to re use their boxes may have lost work by leaving the box uncollected after a hand-in.
Hope you are all ready to go with a new trimester!!
Could you all please ensure you grab your projects from the first year studio cupboards. The cupboards will be open on Mon and Tues 9.00am -12.30. After Tues the work not removed from the boxes and will be thrown out. So don't forget to pick up your great models.Read the rest of this topic (123 words)...

Sorry about the technical issues in LT1 today. The lecture is uploaded and the links are working. We will go over this again tomorrow in studio. Please remember the Philip Bearsley Installation at the City Art Gallery It is free and on till June 10th.Tracing paper is available in the school shop. Vellum is available at Gordon Harris. Roughly $2-3ish. You only need A3. May be cheaper to buy A2 between a couple of you.
All Industrial majors should be getting down to see the Beasley Installation.
Hope you are all enjoying your Easter Break For those in Wellington over the break there are a couple of good movies to see over the next week or so. All at the Paramount on Courtenay Place. The Architect and the Painter (Charles and Ray Eames) and Urbanised (the last in the Helvetica and Objectified trilogy) Sudent tickets $13.00 I think! Lots of great stuff in both movies!!! Nan
